Dr. Rajan Chopra 's initiated University called Mahatma Gandhi University was awarded as the "Best Innovation in Open and Distance Learning for K-12 and Higher Education" in World Education Summit 2012 which was held at Hotel Le Meridian in New Delhi on 23rd July, 2012.
MGU, an initiative of Dr Rajan Chopra has also been awarded as SOE Global Education Awards 2012 on 16th December 2012 at India International Centre New Delhi.
Contribution in Academics
He has also prepared Learning Material i.e. LMS & Study material and E- books for Punjab Technical University. By God's divine grace Dr Rajan Chopra has expanded his self owned University named Mahatma Gandhi University with more than 2800 study centers across 35 Countries in less than a span of 2 years as a Successful business Entrepreneur. In addition to the same, he has already managed successfully strength of more than 1, 00,000 students. He is the personality who endeavors to provide an environment for quality education at affordable rates to all sections of society for the students from diverse backgrounds, ethnicity, caste, creed and geographical areas.
He also initiated Learning Management System (LMS) of more than 285 subjects which is the most sensitive & widely used faculty student enterprise for learning. Along with that, he took initiative to prepare Colored Self Instructional Material (SIM) for numerous programs such as Management, Information Technology, Professional and Traditional. He has put his valuable inputs in developing various titles in the field of different courses. To name a few, "Principles of Management", "Marketing Management", "Project & Quality Management", "Business Law" in Management programs; "Introduction to IT", "Operations Research", "Management Information System" in the sector of IT. He also holds experience of organizing various workshops for benefit of Educational Institutions & their members.
